John M. Lobe

John M. Lobe entered the Army on June 13, 1942and served as an infantryman.

He participated in the invasion of North Africa, November 8, 1942, Morocco and was among the first troops to go over the Atlas Mountains. He also participated in the invasion of Sicily on July 10, 1943. He was hospitalized in Palermo and put on limited duty. He was assigned to the staging area in Casablanca with the communications unit.

 He was honorably (medical) discharged on November 5, 1944.
