Mr. Lipponen received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, Army of Occupation Service Medal (Germany) and three overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on June 5, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
