John Leschak

John Leschak of Chisholm, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on August 16, 1942.

He was a Sergeant; airplane and engine mechanic with the 599th Bomb Squadron: Air Offensive Europe, Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Leschak received the: Good Conduct Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with six bronze battle stars and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on October 12, 1945 at Camp Grant, Ill.
