John A. Leino

John A. Leino was inducted into the Army on November 16, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Zim, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and cannoneer with Battery B of the 531st Antiaircraft Artillery (Automatic Weapons) Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Mr. Leino was awarded the: European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on December 9, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
