John A. Kangas of Florenton, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on November 20, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Technician 5th Grade and served as a power generator operator with Battery C, Coast Artillery, Harbor Defense of Narragansett Bay, in the continental United States.
Mr. Kangas received the: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged on September 26, 1945 at Camp Edwards, Mass.
