John A.  Johnson served during World War II in the European Theater.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Medical Detachment, 125th Field Artillery, 34th (“Red Bull”) Division.

He was born in Duluth, Minnesota on September 11, 1920, the son of Arthur and Helen Johnson. He attended Duluth Denfeld High School.

Mr. Johnson, lifelong Duluth resident, died at age 87 in Duluth on July 16, 2008.
