John J. Urbiha

John J. Urbiha entered the Army on April 3, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

Mr. Urbiha served as a Private First Class and gun crewman with Headquarters Battery of the 528th Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion in Luzon, Leyte, and Moratai, Philippines.

He was awarded the following: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and Philippine Liberation Medal with three stars.

He was honorably discharged on October 30, 1945, to reenlist in the Regular Army. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and was honorably discharged on October 31, 1946, at Fort Bliss, Texas.
