John J. Spehar

John J. Spehar enlisted into the Regular Navy on January 7, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

He served as an Electrician's Mate Second Class aboard the USS LST 495, USS LCT 615 Flotilla 12, USS Swivel, USS Salinan, and USS Harold J. Ellison in the European Theater.

He was awarded the following: American Campaign Medal. European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal.

Mr. Spehar was honorably discharged on June 9, 1947, in Bainbridge, Maryland.
