John J. "Jack" Malevich

John J. "Jack" Malevich of Eveleth entered the Naval Reserve on Aug. 16, 1943.
He was commissioned a Lieutenant at the University of Arizona staff indoctrination school in Tucson and served as a battalion commander at a U.S. Naval Training Station in the Continental United States. He was seriously injured in 1943.
He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps, 20th Marine Division from 1928 to 1932.
He was discharged on Feb. 22, 1946 at San Francisco, Calif.
