John A. Hill

John A. Hill was inducted into the Army on October 16, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Private First Class and heavy mortar crewman in Troop M of the 12th Cavalry Regiment in Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, Southern Philippines (Liberation) and Luzon.
Mr. Hill was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with four bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged December 6, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
