KOJO, John Henry

John Henry Kojo was born on August 2nd .

Mr. Kojo was inducted into the U.S. Army on November 16th 1944, at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Home of entry: Floodwood, Minnesota.

He served as a construction machine operator with the 290th Engineer Construction Battalion in Central Europe. He rose to the rank of Technician 5th Grade (TEC5).

TEC Kojo earned the following merits for his service:

  • Good Conduct Medal,
  • European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 bronze battle star,
  • World War II Victory Medal,
  • Army of Occupation Medal (Germany),  -and-
  • two overseas service bars.

 

He was honorably discharged on August 21st 1946, at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
