He served as a Technician 4th Grade and truck driver with Headquarters Company of the Third Battalion of the 334th Infantry Regiment of the 84th Infantry Division in Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.
Mr. Eskola was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World war II Victory Medal, two overseas service bars and Belgian Fourragere
He was honorably discharged December 19, 1945, Camp McCoy, Wis.
