John E. DeCaire

John E. DeCaire was inducted into the Army on Sept. 15, 1943.

He was a private first class and an infantryman with Company I, 330th Infantry Regiment, 83rd Division in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

He was wounded in action on Dec. 24, 1944.

He received the:

Purple Heart,
Good Conduct Medal,
European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal,
American Campaign Service Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was discharged on March 19, 1946.
