John E. Bevka

Mr. Bevka entered the Army Air Corps service September 2, 1944. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He started as an Aviation Cadet, then was commissioned First Lieutenant and served as a bombardier with the Army Air Corps of the 1718th Signal Sev. Co. (WG) in the China-Burma-India Theater, Pacific Theater and China Offensive, Ryukyus, Air Offensive Japan.

Awarded: American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal.

Honorably discharged July 1, 1946, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
