He was a technician 4th grade and a mechanic with the 3459th Ordnance Battalion in the European and Pacific Theaters, serving in the Rome-Arno, North Apennines and Po Valley in Italy and in the Philippines.
He received the:
Good Conduct Medal,
European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal,
Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal,
Philippine Liberation Medal and three overseas service bars.
