Joel D. Teigland

Joel D. Teigland joined the Army in June 1943 serving during World War II and again during the Cold War  from July 1946 until July 1948.

Mr. Tiegland was born in 1921 in Randall, Iowa, the son of Søren and Bertha Teigland. He graduated from high school in 1939.

Mr. Teigland was trained to serve in the Medical Corps and was assigned to a veterans’ hospital in Indiana rising to the rank of Captain.

He was discharged in June 1945.
