Jerome A. Kaner of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on August 4, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Technical Sergeant and served as an operations and training NCO at Normandy and in Germany.
Mr. Kaner received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars and World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged on February 14, 1945 to accept an appointment as a 2nd Lieutenant.
He was separated from the service on February 27, 1946.
