BLAZEVIC, Jerome Angelo

Jerome Angelo Blazevic was born on August 25th 1925 to Victor Carl & Agnes Marion [Kreminski] Blazevic in Duluth, Minnesota. He attended Duluth Cathedral and joined the military after he graduated in 1945.

Mr. Blazevic volunteered for service in the U.S. Army on November 17th 1945 at Camp Fannin in Tyler, Texas. He was in the Infantry and rose to the rank of Corporal (CPL),

CPL Blazevic served in the Belgium and Germany during WWII. He was awarded the WWII medal, the Air Guard medal and the Special Capacity merit.

He was honorably discharged in May of 1947. After the war he returned home and married Elizabeth “Betty” Teresa [Tasky] on April 30th 1949 and started a family.

CPL Blazevic stayed active with the Air National Guard from 1958 to 1985 and was discharged as a Command Sergeant (CMSGT).

Mr. Blazevic died on August 21st 2017 at the age of 91 years. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Superior, Wisconsin.
