James John Trdan was born on September 14th 1923 to Frank and Anna Trdan in Chisholm, Minnesota..

He was awarded the following:
- Presidential Unit Citation,
- Good Conduct Medal,
- European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 8vbronze battle stars,
- World War II Victory Medal, -and-
- two overseas service bars.
Mr. Trdan was honorably discharged on September 20th 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin. After the war James married Margaret Petrangelo and they had a so Richard.
Mr. Trdan died April 13th 1955 at Ft. Snelling, Minnesota at the age of 31 years old. He was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing, Minnesota on April 16th 1955.
