James J. Stergar

James J. Stergar enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve on August 18, 1943.
He served as a Private and demolition specialist in the Pacific. He participated in action against the enemy at Guam in 1944 and in the Ryukyu Islands in 1945. He was wounded in action in Okinawa in June 1945.
He was awarded the following: Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, and World War II Victory Medal.
Mr. Stergar was honorably discharged on February 11, 1946, at Great Lakes, Illinois.
