James F. Harrington of Biwabik, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on March 26, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Private First Class and Signal Corps lineman with Headquarters Squadron of the 5th Fighter Command in Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, South Philippines (Liberation) and Luzon.
Mr. Harrington was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze star and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged December 9, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
