ANDERSON, James Carl Fredrick

James "Jim" Carl Fredrick Anderson was born on May 2nd 1925 to Matthew & Bertha [Neuman] Anderson in Dallas, Wisconsin. He graduated early from Barron High School in 1943 so he could serve his country.

Mr. Anderson entered active U.S. Marine Corps on January 19th 1944 in the midst of WWII. He fought in the Pacific Theater, most notably Peleliu and Okinawa where he received a purple heart and a bronze star.

He was discharged on March 20th 1946 and he returned home. He married Beverly Jacobson of Chetek on May 8, 1948 and they started a family. Jim was active in the American Legion in Ridgeland.

Mr. Anderson died on February 1st 2018 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin at 92 years of age. He is buried at Wayside Cemetery in Barron, Wisconsin.
