Jack W. Dallman

Jack W. Dallman was inducted into the Army on May 4, 1943.

He was a private first class and a combat medical corpsman with the 311th Regimental Medical Detachment, 78th Infantry Division in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

He was wounded in action by shrapnel on Feb. 7, 1945, at Schmidt, Germany. He was evacuated to England and then returned to the U.S. aboard the liner Queen Elizabeth to Schick General Army Hospital in Clinton, Iowa.

He received the:

Bronze Star,
Purple Heart,
Good Conduct Medal,
Combat Medical Badge,
European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars.

He received a disability discharge on July 12, 1945.
