Jack V. Broman
Mr. Broman entered the Army December 1944. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.
He served as a Private First Class and infantryman with the 534th Engineer Boat and Shore Regiment until it was deactivated in December 1945. He was then reassigned to the 594th Engineer Boat and Shore Regiment and served until it too was deactivated. Assigned to the 27th Infantry Regiment of the 25th Infantry Division, and with Company A of the 41st Infantry in the Southern Philippines. Served in Japan with the Occupation Forces at the time of the Japanese surrender.
He was decorated with the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), two overseas service bars, and Philippine Liberation Medal.
Separated November 19, 1946.
