Jack Sneve wrote a narrative about a stormy experience aboard ship. While the ship was refueling, they were given warnings of a typhoon headed in their direction. They halted their operations and secured the ship; they thought it might miss them. They were wrong. Experiencing squalls and gusts up to 70 knots, the ship began to lose steering control, and the radar went out. They found themselves entrenched in the eastern edge of the eye of the stormy typhoon. After a few hours the winds calmed and the seas settled. They had experienced nearly seven hours of typhoon.
