Jack P. Kyte of Aurora, Minnesota enlisted in the Army on January 23, 1942at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Technician 4th Grade and an auto mechanic with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 811th Tank Destroyer Battalion in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.
Mr. Kyte received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and one overseas service bar.
He was honorably discharged on October 10, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
