He was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, three overseas service bars, and Philippine Liberation Medal.
Mr. Anderson was honorably discharged December 16, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
