Irving A. Patterson served in the defense industry during World War II. He was a machine operator at Clyde Iron Works in Duluth, Minnesota, from 1942 until 1945.
He was awarded the Navy “E” for excellence while employed in the critical defense industry during World War II.
Mr. Patterson was born January 22, 1924, in Gilbert, Minnesota, the son of Alex and Emma (Hyrkas) Patterson. He attended the former Morgan Park High School and was a 1942 graduate of Duluth Denfeld High School.
Mr. Patterson died at age 84 in Duluth, Minnesota, on August 23, 2008.
