Inez Martha Eileen Hendrickson was born on July 26th 1921 to Matt & Amanda Josephine [Gustafson] Kaskela in Makinen, Minnesota
After schooling Ms. Hendrickson was employed at Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington as a sheet metal worker in 1944. She worked as a Rosie the Riteter.
She enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard SPARs "Semper Paratus—Always Ready") on October 12th 1944 during WWII. She rose to the rank of Seaman 2nd Class.
Seaman Hendrickson was honorably discharged on November 26th 1945.
After the war she returned home and married Arthur Sulo Pelto and they started a family. After she was widowed, she married Urho Kaskela.on July 31st 1981.
Ms. Kaskela died on January 8th 2008 at 86 years of age in Virginia, Minnesota.
