Hugo H. Koskela of Embarrass, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on October 26, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He was a Private First Class and field lineman with Cannon Company, 155th Infantry Regiment in the Southern Philippines (Liberation), and the Ryukyus.
Mr. Koskela received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on December 22, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
