Howard J. Johnson of Brimson, Minnesota, enlisted in the Army Air Corps on February 7, 1946 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

Served as a Private First Class radar observer sea search with Squadron A of the 3501st Army Air Field Base Unit in the continental United States.

He was honorably discharged on August 8, 1947 at Boca Raton, Fla.
