Howard E. Oja was inducted into the Army on Oct. 20, 1941.

He was a Technician 5th Grade and a plumber with Company A, 1306th Engineer GS Regiment during the German campaign.

Mr. Oja received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with a bronze battle star, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal and six overseas service bars.

He was discharged on May 12, 1945.
