Herman A. Fiorini of Chisholm, Minn was inducted into the Army on March 12, 1941 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Technician 5th Grade and light truck driver with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery of the 48th Field Artillery Battalion in the Aleutian Islands, U.S. Eastern Mandates, Southern Philippines and Ryukyu Islands.
Mr. Fiorini was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal, Philippines Liberation Medal with two bronze service stars and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on Oct. 4, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
