Herbert Strong, Sr.

Herbert Strong, Sr. was inducted into the Army on July 20, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.  Home at entry: Nett Lake, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class with Company F of the 124th Infantry Regiment of the 31st Infantry Division in the Southern Philippines.

Mr. Strong was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal, one overseas service bar, and Philippines Liberation Medal with one bronze star.

He was honorably discharged on February 18, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
