Herbert M. Ocepek of Gilbert, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on June 10, 1943.

Mr. Ocepek received the: Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with three bronze battle stars, American Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was discharged on Feb. 21, 1946.
