Henry S. Rent enlisted in the Army on October 19, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Gheen, Minnesota.

He served as a Corporal and airplane and engine mechanic with the 1045th Army Air Forces Base Unit in the continental U.S.

Mr. Rent was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal,  and the World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on January 15, 1946, at San Antonio, Texas.
