Mr. Brula inducted into the Army on April 22, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Gilbert, Minnesota.
He served as a Technician Fifth Grade with Battery C of the 158th Field Artillery Battalion in Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno and North Apennines, Italy; Southern France; Rhineland; and Central Europe. He was wounded in action on December 15, 1944.
He received the following: Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and four overseas service bars.
Mr. Brula was honorably discharged on November 1, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
