Henry A. Fondie of Aurora, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on April 17, 1945 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Private First Class and a carpenter with the Corps of Engineers with Company D of the 1303rd Engineer Regiment in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Fondie was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on Feb. 2, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
