Henry E. Koistinen of Duluth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on October 10, 1941 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He was a Technician 4th Grade serving with the guard detachment at the 1879th Service Command Unit Prisoner of War Camp at Livingston, Louisiana.

Mr. Koistinen received the: Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on October 23, 1945 at Camp Claiborne, La.
