Harry Ernest Loisel

Harry Loisel was born in Cloquet, Minnesota on July 3, 1918, where he attended Sacred Heart School and Cloquet High School.
He served with the CCC in Oregon and Gooseberry Falls before he enlisted in the U.S. Army on December 18, 1941, the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
He served in the South Pacific and earned battle stars for operations in the Central Pacific, Leyte Gulf, Luzon, New Guinea, and the southern Philippine.
He then enlisted in U.S. Air Force on September 25, 1947, serving for over 20 years until retiring on June 30, 1964, as a technical sergeant.
Mr. Loisel died Jan. 10, 2003, in the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay.
