"Corporal Harry Statsmann of Field, Minnesota was honorably discharged at Camp McCoy after three years and four months of service. He enlisted on August 3, 1942 and attended basic training at Fort Riley, Kansas; he also trained at Camp Maxey, Texas. He was sent overseas on December 29, 1943 to England, Ireland, and France with the 92nd Signal Batallion 15th Corps. He returned to the US on December 13, 1945. Harry was awarded the: Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, and four battle stars on his ETO ribbon." (Source unknown)
