Mr. Boness inducted into the Army Air Corps on April 30, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Nett Lake, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class, light truck driver, and rifleman with the Bad Air Force Station in Europe.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal.

Mr. Boness was honorably discharged on November 10, 1945, at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
