Grace Ann McDougall was born on April 2nd 1901 to Archie Hugh & Maria [Cass] McDougall in Ashland, Wisconsin. She married Robert D. Dunsmore and they raised a family.
Ms. McDougal enlisted in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps Service on October 31st 1943. She entered active duty service on November 2nd 1943.
She was commissioned 1st Lieutenant (1LT) and served as a registered nurse with the 1872nd Service Command Unit at LaGarde General Army Hospital Unit in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was with that unit until she was released from active duty on November 27th 1945.
She also served in the U.S. Public Health Services until March 15th 1947.
Ms. McDougall died on March 24th 1981 in Chisholm, Minnesota at 79 years of age. She is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Chisholm.
