HYDUKOVICH, Gordon
Gordon Hydukovich was born on May 14th 1923 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Nicholas & Danica [Tereza] Hydukovich.
Mr. Hydukovich entered the Army January 4th 1944, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.
He served as a Technician 4th Grade in the European Theater in Northern France and Rhineland.
Mr. Hydukovich earned the following awards:
- the Bronze Star Medal,
- Good Conduct Medal,
- Combat Infantryman Badge,
- European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars. -and-
- World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged April 15th 1946, Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
After the war he returned home and married Marianne T. [Boehm} Hydukovich and they started a family.
Mr. Hydukovich died on February 2nd 1995 at the age of 71 years in his hometown of Hibbing. He is buried and Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
