Glen Haslerud served during World War II in the Pacific Theater serving in the U.S. Navy from January 5, 1944, until July 19, 1946.

After basic training he attended Radio Striker School. He was assigned to the Hawaiian island of Oahu and the Northern Line island of Palmyra.

He served as a Radioman 3rd Class in the Communications Department.

Mr. Haslerud was awarded with the Rifleman Badge and Good Conduct Medal.

He was born in 1926 in Peterson, Minnesota, the son of Albert and Esther Haslerud.
