George T. Olson of Duluth, Minnesota entered the Navy Reserve on Nov. 3, 1940.
He was a Chief Machinist's Mate aboard the USS Paducah, USS Mendocino (APA 100), on Atlantic and Pacific. coast patrols until November 1941 and then aboard a Navy Armed Guard training ship. He participated in invasion of Iwo Jima, Leyte and Okinawa.
He was separated on Nov. 7, 1945.
