George Mihelick

George Mihelick was born and raised in Duluth and graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1942. He joined the U.S. Marines that year and served until 1945, with service in China and England. He graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 1950 and worked for the St. Louis County Welfare Department. He later received a masters degree from the University of Southern California and returned to work for the Welfare Department, from which he retired in 1985. He died in 1986.
