George M. Lind of Zim, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on March 27, 1943.
He was a Technician 5th Grade and a truck driver with the Headquarters Company in the 644th Tank Destroyer Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Lind received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on December 13, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
