George J. Hoffman

George J. Hoffman, Jr. of Mountain Iron, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on October 16, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Technical Sergeant and light weapons NCO in Company B of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He fought in ground combat in Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Hoffman was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Belgian Fourragere, Holland Fourragere, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged January 17, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
