George A. Doane

George A. Doane of Virginia, Minn. was inducted into the Army on Jan 13, 1944 at Fort Snelling, Minn..

He served as a Technician 4th Grade and locomotive engineer with Company C of the 716th Railway Operating Battalion in Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Doane was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal,  World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on March 2, 1946at Camp McCoy, Wis.
